Chores day

We are in Clearwater for the better part of the day.  MJ selling at Farmers market, me laundry, dropping of recycling, etc, etc.
The weather has finally changed for the best, very nice and sunny for the last 2 days.

we are very sad today.

We met a lady and her husband, Wendy and Randy Durrant at a craft fair that we were vendors and we would meet them at several fairs every year.  Randy passed away June 27th after being sick with cancer since last fall.  Randy rest in peace.  Wendy, our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family, see you in the fall.

Little mishaps here and there.

One or our blinds had gone wonky a couple weeks ago and MJ tried to fix it.

DSCF5912

She succeeded with a lot of trials and errors.  Then a couple days later, another blind didn’t want to go up or down, sooo, we decided to get some mini blinds from Sears and get rid of these troublesome pieces of garbage.

When we were trying to put up the blind, we noticed that the carpet under the window was wet.  OH NO. We have a leak.  Yep, it was coming down from the ceiling, into a cupboard and down on the floor.  MJ & Clancy patched the hole on the roof with duct tape (my answer to everything).  We bought some goop at an RV centre in Kamloops and MJ will go on the roof ( yes, MJ, not this chicken, too scared of heights) and fix it when the sun decides to come out and dry the roof.

Sunday, Casie and Louise from Kamloops came for a visit.  Casie, happy retirement as of Friday  June 29th.

Yesterday, while Clancy, MJ & I were out getting firewood, Lorie cooked a rhubarb pie which we had for desert last night.

Went fishing today, Thursday, at a lake that Clancy and Lorie took us with their quads.  Nice place, however, only Clancy and MJ caught anything.  Clancy couldn’t get them off his hook.  At one point, he had a fish on just about every cast.

Tonight the weather turned cold, so we are both inside computering.

Behind that fog, there is a lake and trees in the background.  This was taken a couple night ago when the fog rolled in on the lake.

Summer is here, I think. 4 days without too much rain.

DSCF5911DSCF5907DSCF5891DSCF5893DSCF5894DSCF5901DSCF5904

Here we all are picking beer and pop cans along the road, quading and my stellars jay picking up peanuts.

It has been very nice weather wise for the last 4 days.  no complaints here.  We went quading and fishing with Clancy and Lorie.  Caught some nice fish in ------- lake.  Forgot the name of it.  lol

Today, Saturday, we are in Clearwater.  MJ at the farmer’s market and me at the laundromat.  That’s right, I do the shitty stuff and she gets to talk to lots of people.  Shitty versus talk, give me shitty any day.

We went to see another campground on Sunday thinking that we may go there and be camp hosts.  We decided against it.  It was too windy and open.  Most of the trees around the campground had to be taken down because of the pine beetle infestation, so it looks pretty bear all around.

Our friends Lorie and Clancy’s set up.  In that cargo trailer, they have a big tv with a double reclining love seat, closets and what nots.

They carry their Quad and all their stuff in there.  Quite the rig.

June 14th,We are on our way to Kamloops with Clancy and Lorie and it’s raining cats and dogs, good day to travel.

Sam and Jill arrived this morning, so it will be a nice evening by the campfire if the rain can stop for us.

We now have Sirius radio. woo hoo.

Our new shed.

This is our new shed that Sam & MJ installed on our 5th wheel today.  Looking very good.  Jill is our private photographer.

We had our truck serviced today at Dearborn Ford in Kamloops.  We are now ready to go camping, which should happen on Thursday.

Went to dinner at our friends Louise and Casey tonight.  Had a great evening.
