We have arrived at a great spot.

We are happy campers.  Our friends found us a great spot and we love it.  Very secluded and away from any other camper.  Charlene and Linden came for happy hour and Charlie made us some escargot in cheese and we licked our lips with pleasure.  pics to follow.

Things are progressing

We are just about there.  Cleaned out the cupboards and are ready to get out of here.  Took a whole bunch of stuff to the trailer yesterday.  Will get the trailer here on Thursday and leaving on Friday.

INSURANCE CHANGE

Went to change our insurance for the townhouse to have lower coverage and to cover liability for a rental unit.  You would think we are moving to the other side of the world.  A thousand questions later, we came out of ther with one sheet of paper. 


We then came home and went to lunch with our buddy Steve from Victoria, who was here for a bit working in Abbotsford, he was on his way home.

We tackled the task of getting rid of most of our old pictures which we hadn't looked at for over 15 years.  In the dumpster they go.......

Taking breaks

Went to our friends Marc & David's  house last night for dinner and to look at the townhouse they are moving to on May 1st.  What a gorgeous place.  Right on the main drag in White Rock with a view to make anybody drool.


Today, we went to Granville Island with our friend France, then for dinner at Swiss Chalet.  Are now watching our Canucks win.  (wishing like heck, they lost the first two games at home against the Kings).

Furniture be gone

Yep.  We have little furniture left.  The auctioneer came and got it this afternoon.  Bare as bare can be.  No looking back now.  We are on our way to being trailer trash all year.

NEW CARPET

New carpet was put in the small bedroom.  It's looking good.  Took all our belongings out of dressers, buffet and hutch and so on, so the auctioneers can take our furniture away tomorrow.  All we will have left are 2 chairs, the tv and the mattress (as we gave our box spring and frame away a couple days ago).

Busy day

Our friend Doug came over to put screws in the plywood floor in the spare bedroom before the carpet goes in tomorrow.  Property manager (rental) was in to check out the place.  He already has someone lined up to come see the place tomorrow.  A friend of a friend came in to look at the place, she was quite impressed by it.  Her husband called tonight and they decided not to rent it.  Fielded quite a few calls on the stuff we have on Craigs list.  Our friend Karen and her son Romano were here for a visit.  Yep, it was one of those days.

Rental Agreement signed

Had the rental management company in this afternoon.  We are now officially landlords.  That sounds weird. 
We painted the spare bedroom yesterday and new carpet will be put in on Thursday.  We will paint the main bedroom on Thursday. 
The auctioneer is coming in tomorrow to look at our furniture and see what he can sell.
