Well, we did the big hill in Pendleton, Ore April 5/2013

Yes, we thought that the hill in Pendleton was worse than it actually is.  Some people had told us it was a breeze and some other folks told us it was a b----.  We made it ok.  Downhill for 6 miles at a 6% grade.  Shifted in second gear and put 4 way flashers on and tickety boo, we were a-ok.  What goes down must come up, so looking forward to the fall to go the other way.  lol

We came upon this cemetery in Baker City when we stopped for a break.  Quite interesting story.

We are moving right along.

April 2nd, Pioche NV, April 3rd, Wells, NV.  April 4th, Ontario, Ore.  (Tonight.  OMG, I’m up to date.)
Yep, we are moving faster now since it is colder as we make our way to BC.  We can’t enjoy an evening sitting outside, so may as well make our way home.
In Pioche, we stayed at a municipal campground that had sewer and water and all they wanted was a donation.  Quite nice there but very cold.  The elevation was 6060 feet.  brrrrrrrr.  We high tailed it out of there the next day.

In Wells, we stayed at a Flying J gas station.  Was pretty cold there also, so left fairly early this am.

Tonight, we are at a Walmart in Ontario, Ore.  Temperature is quite nice here.

Lake Mead Recreational area.

March 28th to April 1st.
Stayed at 2 state parks in the Lake Mead area.  The first for 2 nights and had to move because of 5 generators right around us on most of the day.  So, on the 30th, we moved 10 miles down the road to another park (nice and quieter).  Cost was only $10.00 a night.  Wow, Leona & MJ broke the bank…..lol
The following pics are all from the Lake Mead area.

On the State park, there is the area where the rocks and sand is orange and gorgeous to see.  The area is called:

Can anyone tell us what this short fence is holding back from getting on the road and getting killed?
We had to ask, because what we were coming up with did not make any sense.
