Our rig and truck.
This is what happens when you put something to cook on the stove and walk away to chat with your neighbour. (Don’t know the real story.)
In mid January, we went to Quartzsite for 7 days. For those who don’t know what the Q is all about here goes. It is the biggest rock & gem show in the world. The biggest RV show in the world and the biggest garage sale in the world. lol We had heard soooooo much about Q that we had to go and check it out. If you want to check out RVs, this is the place to go. If you want beads, rocks and gems, junk, you name it, that’s the place to go. We bought beads and stones to make wind chimes (beads) and pendants (stones).
We camped at La Posa with our friend Denise. Poor Denise caught a really, really, really bad cold and ended up the hospital. She is finally on the mend and sounds pretty good on her blog. We are proud of you Denise ( for the big step you took).
While we were there, we met up with our friend Linda from Richmond. Spent the day with her and her friend Sheila. Had a super day with her, showing us all the different stones. (Which she knows all the names off).
We left Q and that night I (Leona) started a cold. Lasted a few days after taking day/night meds and drinking silver water. Feeling great now.
When we got back, our spot was still here as we had left a few things on the ground.
Yep, these are guns. Want one?
Biggest fishing rod I’ve ever seen

More of our pets.
We are now in Quartzsite for a week or two. Big RV show coming up tomorrow.
Met up with our friend Denise who has been here a couple days ago. She has a terrible cold and not feeling well, so she can’t go roaming around with us.
Will get pics of Q on next blog.
Christmas has come and gone and life keeps on going. We went out for dinner at the Cocopah Casino in Yuma with 4 friends on Christmas day. We did get our feed of turkey. It was very good.
Temperatures here have gone down a bit, but is quite nice still when the wind dies down.
These three first pictures show where our trailer is now situated. We moved from the first spot where we were because it was too windy up there.
MJ baked a corn bread in our Sun oven. We use it to cook everything from cookies to meats. We love it. All we do is put the food in and the sun cooks it.
Decorations in our little community.
Ya Ya, we have to do it at least twice a season. We did have a perfect reason to do so. We couldn’t use our Skype at the second site, so we had to get where we could call our brothers and friends.
We had to upgrade our solar system because our current system wasn’t adequate to work properly with the sun being so low in the winter.
MJ & Trevor working on the new solar system
Turantula at our neighbours house.
Another small canyon that Don took us to, just a short ways from here.
Sam and Jill, did you sell big blue in Yuma, lol. Saw this truck going down the street and had to take a pic of it.
Lemon tree, very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.
Hundreds of sheep clearing out the unwanted grass.
