Dinner here, dinner there, visit from Phil and Doug

Our friends from Campbell River (Lynn and Wayne)  called and said they were coming over to visit in their boat.  What a surprise when they got here, our buddy Eric and his dog Teddy from Langley was with them.  We had a great visit.               

We had dinner here with Feather, Nick and Kathy.

This is how Nick eats, out of a bowl. lol  Actually, he was just eating the end of the salad.

 

Phil and Doug came to visit and stayed at the lodge for a couple days. Was very nice to see them.  Had not seen them since we left Richmond and mid May.

Went for a walk at Rebecca Spit.

 

Boys took us out for dinner at Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge.

 

Gerald & Janice had the four of us over for dinner and I took advantage of taking pics of the 4 goats and one of the area deer. Had a wonderful evening and great food, (as always).

Just a note in passing.  For those of you who follow our blog and have not signed up, we would love to know who you are.  I know some of you but not everybody.

Boy, oh boy, it’s still a whirlwind here.  

It’s only been a month since we got here, however, it seems longer with everything that we have done.

We have met so many nice people.  Some are locals from Quadra (friends of Gerald and Janice) and some are campers at the RV park.  We are very fortunate to have this job,( wink, wink) for the summer.  We have also met the lighthouse keeper: Feather and her partner Corinne who are also great people . 

We were invited out for dinner and had friends over for dinner. 

We went to  play Bacci ball and Crocket (not sure of spelling on both games) with Feather and Corinne. 

Went to dinner at Gerald and Janice’s house for Joe’s birthday (Janice’s dad).

Went to dinner at the Campbell River casino with a couple of campers:  Bob & Sheila and our buddies Lynn and Wayne from CR.  Had dinner with Nick and Kathy at their house.

 

We started selling our crafts at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays. Here is MJ with  customers.

This old truck was on a utility trailer on the ferry over here.  Just had to take a pic of it.

 

 

We went to pick oysters with Janice and her mom and dad, Marie & Joe.   Then, we shucked them and Marie and Janice prepared a wonderful dinner with the oysters.

First fire and gorgeous sunset.  That was over a week ago, been raining last 3 days.

 

Don’t know what this guy was doing, but he was moving with the help of his little motor on top of the plane.  Not going too fast.

 

 

These cruise ships pass in front of our site every day.  They are huge.

Back and forth Ketchikan, Alaska to Vancouver and Victoria.

 

The little engine that could.  Don’t know how those little tugs can pull such a load.

The route is the direct route to Alaska water.
